Linda glad Dad is out of Hospital.; not a nice place to be stuck in at the best of times.

Jean hope you appointments goes well at the hospital today.

Shelly I would imagine everyone who tries to stop smoking goes through a craft one thinking they need it and then regrets it. just carry on without the ciggie and forget you had one on the quiet. you can do it, you have gone this far.so keep it up.

I hope the Care people phone and say they can get me a car for next week.?otherwise I will have to go and ask the Doctor to arrange something for me.transport to the hospital.,
nothing is straight forward.

Have a good day

Linda,
Not an envious position you're in. Home Care is fine but puts such a strain on all the family.
A friend tried to cope with having her Mother stay in her own home as long as possible......it was hard going for everyone....when her Mum finally went into a Nursing Home the old dear got a new lease of life because of all the people around her. The family also perked up when the strain came off them. It was a hard decision but a good one for all concerned.

Thinking and praying all goes well for you and your folks.

Morning all
Well damp start here, so no walking this morning or washing today me thinks.
I went back to the Drs yesterday and got a new lot of tablets. For a month this time. See how I get on.
Dad came home yesterday. Not sure when he will be able to look after Mum. I'll keep in touch with the family.

Have a good day

Sorry I missed your birthday Pauline and your anniversary Cath.

Longest Day today

Linda :-) <3

Morning All !

Thanks for the breakfast Jean........more inches to my already ample waistline. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Maddie......The Brickwall.......I have been trying to break one down for a loooooong time and still getting nowhere. I can find loads of information on my Ancestors from way back on some of the lines but nothing past C 1840 on my Gr Gr Grandad Barrs line. A lot of time effort and money from myself and a couple of others has proved fruitless.

Sir William Alexander, Earl of Stirling (1567 - 1640) This guy was using a Horse to spread his wild oats........some landed on our lot.......not much use as an ancestor as it is only a vague blood line connection......BUT......
from this lot came Captain David Stirling founder of the SAS........that is a worthy connection.

Back later ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Good Morning All.

Hope everyone slept well and is feeling better today.

Shelly it is great when you finally get a bit of info. I am still stuck with my gt.grandfather. Stephen kindly sent me loads of records, but not one of them is he. So back to square one. :-(

Because he was born the wrong side of the blanket there are lots of misguided information I was given. I even believed his cousin was his mother at one point. All to lead you away from the truth that a 17 year old girl made a mistake. :-( All I know for definite is that his father was a bloke nicknamed Ginger. ;-)

Well just off to the Serpentine for a quick swim, then will run all the way home. ;-)

Have a good day all. See you later.

Shelly, having a crafty drag. Did you think putting it in last we wouldnt notice? Tuts. :-)

edit. Our lines crossed. Good morning Jean, I will eat when I get back. ;-)

Toast, hot rolls and crumpets.
Tea and coffee.

Has anyone any plans for today? doing nice things?
It looks like being an unsettled day here, mixture of rain and sun.
but hoprfully I will be able to get out for a while with the horses
after my hospital appointment.

Have a good day everyone.
Take care and stay safe.

Hi friends, hope you have all had a peaceful day.
Mo, I do hope you are now beginning to feel better,
Pauline, yes I sit Scarlett up in front of me, she loves to be on the horses,
have just bought her a shetland pony, she rides him, [with me holding her]
she sits at the side of him and brushes his legs and feet.
Rita, I hope you get your transport to the hospital arranged.
I think I need to make a list of all of you on here, my memory lets me down, and I have 'senior moments' when I cant remember what I did yesterday and remembering names is a nightmare.
Good night, God bless you all,
Sweet dreams.

remeber I said I could not get a white cotton long slip anywhere. I have 2 of them on order from M & S on line and they are going to deleiver them on Thursday £3.85 deleivery charge.

I brought a lovely long whiter skirt while in Norfolk last week it has leaves on and looks nice so I am pleased I now have the long white slip to go underneath. I want to take it to The Isle of Wight with me when I go next month.
