Dermot ....

Good job my granddads budgie could never lie ...cause I killed it by accident !!

When I was very very young......7yrs old I was in my nan's house and they had this budgie called Peter .....so what did I do ? ....well I wanted to see it fly :-S so I opened the cage door and out it flew....but when I heard my granddad shouting for me in the other room I panicked and tried to put Peter back in the cage ,but the blighter would not go back .........so I got my granddads flat cap and rounded it in a corner of the room and threw it on him ,but I squeezed it too much ........,to death !! So I put it back into the cage dead .

I never told my Grand dad or anyone about this as I was sad, so the next time I went to see my grand dad he told me Peter had died .....he said he must have had the flu because his cage was near the window and its draughty. LOL
So that story was told to all members of the family years after my grand dad died .

Oh dear poor Peter....all of 60yrs ago !!!!!!! :-0

Marilyn I had to laugh at your boyfriend you ran from.

I was working at Segal Feres in the City and met a news paper reporter he was about 10 years older than I was.he asked me out for lunch. and took me to a posh place to eat, he was going on about his job and the newspaper he worked for. it drove me up the wall. I tried to shut my mind off as it was driving me crazy but it droned on and on. I said I needed to go to the little room, thinking I could get out the window or make a run for it. the window was too small and he would have seen me if I ran out
,
He walked me back to the company I worked for, and asked me out again the follow night. I made up a pack of lies and told him I was working all week till late eveing,
He kept phoning me but I kept speaking in a differnt voice saying Rita was away he gave up in the end.

Morning

I did my washing this morning two machine loads as I will be out on Monday and wednesday next week. so I did it all today. The sun is out and it is one beautiful day.
Agatha lhe week I was in Norfolk we stayed at Haven Holiday Centre a great big Caravan site with shops of every kind. and they had a field full of luxury caravan up for sale. two where sold while we were there one went for £77.000 we peeped inside through the window it was what it said Luxury it even had a fire and a round bath and all the morden things you find in a house or bungalow.there was a great big bay window and when they were brought they were moved to a site the new owners asked for,

My daughter just phoned and said she was going to give me a big laugh. she has booked a Holiday for next JANUARY at Illfacombe in Devon for her and her husband Steve.a friend is getting the holiday up so it will be friends, family and neighbours. she said at least she will only have to take warm clothes with them.

Morning everyone, Forgot to say I was going to the caravan, but I'm back now.
The Caravan next door is for sale, so I'll be getting new neighbours down there, it was lovely weather, and all the sailing boats were out on the lake opposite.
Have a nice Sunday everyone.

Morning all.

Where are you going Stevey ?

I thought of you yesterday on Plymouth Hoe , all the kilts where there !! and I knew you would have loved to have displayed yours ... :-D

Maddie.... I did go out with the most handsome & conceited man I ever did see, so full of charm was he that I realized as the evening went on that I wished I had never gone on this date, any way as the evening was drawing to a close he suddenly said " I suppose you think I'm going to ask you out again " Well I turned my back on this handsome young charming conceited man and hurried to the nearest bus stop and jumped on with him yelling for me to come back....unfortunately I got on the wrong bus !! and had to walk a mile to my house , but the satisfaction of walking away gave me the biggest thrill of all......
:-D

Cath ....I bet your cake will be what Grand daughter is looking forward to the most , only one more day to wait it will be worth seeing her little face.

Its so sunny here and warm .....I think Mo let Devon have her sun for a bit . ;-)

Has Agatha gone to the caravan ? I never saw her say so :-0

Hope our Jean is feeling better today, thinking of you Jean <3

Morning all,
a very foggy start to the day here, that means no newspapers. :-(
My middle granddaughter is 7 today but don't know if we will see her, very much depends on whether her mum lets my son have her for an hour or two. Have got cake and party food organised in case and if not we will celebrate tomorrow when he has her overnight.
Time to take the pooch for a mooch,
have a good day all,
<3 <3

Dermot I don't write any more ...how sad is that ?

Can you write 50 words without using a single one twice, even those like "the" or "and"?. It isn't easy.

Example:-

While holidaying, try eating locally prepared food. Many visitors find huge relief from kitchen duties, enjoying new tastes and delicious foreign ingredients.

Locals need regular tourist income. They have to manage finances for the whole year on what is earned during summer seasons.

Holidays are such fun.

Evening folks,
well, didn't I get a surprise at the records library this morning, lol, lol, lol.
My great grandparents had 13 children between 1888 and 1904 and silly old me thought they married sometime around 1887-1888. Oh no, they waited until 1915 ;-) Even the librarian had a job to suppress a smile.
Had a gret deal of success this morning and that was the icing on the cake, been looking for that marriage for ages and was all but ready to give up. Also found my 'invisible Grandads' DOB.
Going to put info on my tree tonight so might not be back, hope everyone is well and has a good evening,
Special thoughts to Jean,

Cath xx
