Morning all.
I have survived the ordeal of getting the grandkids ready for school ! Oh it did take me back a few years.. pack lunches of their choice, plenty of chocolate biccies & sweets.....oh dear my son & DIL will murder me IF only they knew, but I did put some fruit in as well ...LOL I was up 6-30 this morning...!!! its going to catch up with me later today.
Son & DIL thought TAKE THAT was the best they had ever seen and were full of it. 82 thousand people were at the Wembley Stadium.
Now how is everyone this morning ??????
The sun is shinning ,but we did have it very windy yesterday.
Shelly who's the handsome young man in the photo ?
Rita good luck for today.
Jean hows things looking for you ?

Morning all, not sure if this will post because I've been trying since 7am to get on here. I keep getting the message saying that maintenance work is being done.
I've tried all ways..... co.uk.......... .com.......... .com.au.......... .co.nz........... co.za
I've tried to get in through Google, through emails, through PMs..........every which way but loose.
I've finally managed to get in with .co.nz, but don't know if it'll let me post.
Shelly, it is a good likeness isn't it? :-D
Hope the blood test is OK Rita.
Keeping my fingers crossed for Jean and Scarlett.
I'm going to press 'Submit' now and see what happens, bet I get kicked off the site again.

Morning everyone.
Thank you Stephen when I started the Scottish side of the family I got all the McCallum marriges and births from Kenmore pages and pages of them but have not found James and Margarets. so I am not sure where they married. I have been looking at many of the other places. but as the family were lving at R & C and the children were born there I think they must have married there. ?His parents were living there,
I even wrote to some of the churches.
My Grandson is coming up to Scotland with his regiment soon they are going to go with a Scottish regiment on a training programme.
so I hope your weather improves for Lee,.and the lads.
see you all later I hope ?????

This is really strangw, I had to go round the houses to get on here! I went to seer Rory but I nearly never went in the ward becuase I thought it was closed because there was a notice on the door saying it was closed but I went down to reception and asked. I saw Rory and he said to give the flowers to his wife because he's coning home Friday all being well. Hospitals are like mazes :-P

The hospital dont allow flowers in the hospital due to viruses. my daughter took a photo of the bunch she brought me and gave me the photo she said my flowers for you are in the car.
I had a lovely afternoon out with David from the Rotary club he called for me at 1.45 in his old Buick car 40 years old. he shows the car at special gatherings it really is his pride and joy. I think he is showing it at Ripley this weekend. anyway we drove around the lovely countryside of Surrey passed old wooden farms and lovely old churchs and houses many of the villages didnt have shops. image that no shops in your village.. he drove through Esher, Bookham. Ripley and Horsoll we were taken to a hill and the car was park so we could sit and enjoy the lovely South Downs. we went beside a canal with little boats on and tea house had an ice cream. then drove on to By fleet and the to a big Garden Center where they had laid tea out for us piles of different sandwiches and cakes we had a pot of tea each. after tea we wandered around the center and went to the farm shop before drivng back home. I got home at 5.15 He told me I am on their list so expect other outings.

Perks of reaching 50 or being over 60 & heading towards 70 or beyond!
1. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.
2. In a hostage situation, you are likely to be released first.
3. No one expects you to run -- anywhere.
4. People call at 9 PM (or 9 AM) and ask, 'Did I wake you?'
5. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.
6. There is nothing left to learn the hard way.
7. Things you buy now won't wear out.
8. You can eat supper at 4 PM.
9. You can live without sex but not your glasses.
10. You get into heated arguments about pension plans.
11. You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.
12. You quit trying to hold your stomach in no matter who walks into the room.
13. You sing along with elevator music.
14. Your eyes won't get much worse.
15. Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.
16. Your joints are more accurate meteorologists than the national weather service.
17. Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either.
18. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to a manageable size.
19. You can't remember who sent you this list.
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING:
21. Never, NEVER, NEVER, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill, and a laxative on the same night!
22. You didn't notice there is no number 20.

Just been out. It tried to rain but it didn't come to much. Last night Kathy next door told me her husband was in hospital after suffering a slight stroke. I only live down the road from the hospital so I got Rory some flowers and I'll take them up tonight. It seems strnage getting a man flowers but I couldn't think what else to get. :-S

Morning all, it's horrible here - not raining as such but a damp mist. Took me ages to straighten my hair (naturally curly) then I walked to the bottom of the drive with my son and the mist made it all curly and frizzy again. I was only outside for 5 minutes and I looked like Dianna Ross (well, not the face and figure, just the hair) - I'll have to straighten it again now.
I see the site is still running slow again this morning.......... hmm, that's a contradiction in terms - 'run slow'.
Stephen, I'm not keeping that horrible avatar, it was just for another thread. Can't decide whether to go back to my own avatar or pick a different one.
I know Stephen has worse weather than me but I hope the rest of you have better weather.

I agree with you all about the site it is so slow but then I am finding the same happening with Google I can wash my hatr in the time it takes to get on just shows you I tried to get onto google and put the kettle on and made a cup of tea. before I could look at the site. as for GR I loved the pictures but do we have to have so many problems getting onto the threads. ? then when you get the GR site and try and get the lists, you keep trying and nothing happens. I sit here and get so frustrated then you type a message and a thread and it either take a time to go through or you get sorry error
anyway good mornin g to you all. the sun is out at the MOMENT. I am doing my weekly wash so I am waiting for the machine now.to finish its cycle.
