I have just started popping in again...have been absent this last few months, not too sure who is new to the boards and who has changed their names... no hope for me now with Christmas names appearing LOL

I;m still here too. I do occasionally contribute but do not have much of interest to offer. My life is nowhere as exciting/interesting as some of the folk on here.

I had noticed a few names missing too. Like you I don;t know who left and who was pushed!

I saw a name on one of the boards around a week ago that I hadn't seen for ages. He says that he tends to just read them without joining in now.

It is such a shame when some very helpful people are banned, I ahve never been able to work out the reasons why
Maybe I just miss an "offending entry" or maybe some people are easily offended, and then complain to the powers that be.

Good to see some familiar names on the boards. Even when I don't join in.

Yes it has been cold here today too.
Midlands Margaret, we don't want Einsteins or people who are fantastically interesting and clever. we want people who are friendly, people who can chat about nothing!!! People who can make us laugh and feel warm. Just join in, even if you feel you have nothing much to add, we need bodies, it is so empty here that nobody posts which makes it feel worse.

If you read some of the long threads you will see that many of the posts are just jokey and nothing fantastic, just like friends chatting. That is what w e want on both the Gen and chat boards.

I pop in two/Three times a week and read the first page, have done for years but don't post much and I always seem to come on when someone is asking "whats gone on", I must admit things do seem a little slow lately, so what has happened now?

i've been away for a coupe of weeks but hve started to look in again.....for me we had so much going on/wrong since beginning of october that i needed a break from here,it used to be fun,silly chats,discussion etc but it became worse on here than it was at home.now things are back on track at home i've returned.....hopefully to a happier GR,

I've been on here about 18mths ,and with the same name. I'm not changing it for Christmas, 'cause I don't know how to do it,and that's fine by me,so please everybody don't try and explain. Can't even get me head round cut and paste, so no chance with changing me name.
I have noticed though that alot of people have gone just lately, for a variety of reasons.

Freezing here in North Wales and thick fog,central heating on full but still cheerful.

i am around but as my job is stressful and i am at college too .I pop on most days though in the afternoon

I look in most evenings and post the odd joke and some threads,but not any controversial ones.Don't see the point of falling out with people .Why can't everyone be happy or at least "rise above"arguments?
The reminiscing threads that we used to have were enjoyed by so many,especially older and maybe housebound that it was a lifeline for them.
Let's try and keep the boards a happy place.
