Why were you taken?
It doesn't seem fair
And now there's a pain
that's so hard to bear
Especially at Christmas
a time of the year
Which is all about families
but memories are clear
And the fact is, little one, these pictures of you
Do provide consolation and help getting through
You made everyone smile, you were bright as the sun
Simply bursting with love, giving laughter and fun
So although there is sadness that we aren't together
The love you provided will last us forever

From a memories card I bought today.for my grandaughter sadly taken 5yrs ago aged 13mths

In memory of my infant son Michael, 35 years gone but the tears still flow . . . .

Christmas is a bitter day
For mothers who are poor,
The wistful eyes of children
Are daggers to endure.

Though shops are crammed with playthings
Enough for everyone.
If a mother's purse is empty
There might as well be none.

My purse is full of money
But I cannot buy a toy;
Only a wreath of holly
For the grave of my little boy.

My Pops passed away 19th Dec 1975. was a very bleak Christmas that year. The earliest funeral available was 28th DEC but we declined that date cos was his birthday!! no way could we say goodbye to him on that day. His cremation took place on the 31st Dec 1975
So remembered with so much love our Pops and then our Mum who joined him in May 1980.
Together again which was what she wanted after he was gone. Also joined them my brother Stan 2000 and sister Jean 2001.reunited with Mum & Dads firstborn died 1931 aged 3 months

Try to imagine a house that's not a home
Try to imagine a christmas all alone
That's where I'll be
Since you left me

My tears would melt the snow
What can I do
Without you
I've got no place, no place to go

It'll be lonely this christmas
Without you to hold
It'll be lonely this christmas
Lonely and cold
It'll be cold so cold
Without you to hold
This christmas

Each time I remember the day you went away
And how I would listen to things you have to say
I just break down, as I look around
And the only things I see
Are emptiness and loneliness
And an unlit christmas Tree

It'll be lonely this christmas
Without you to hold
It'll be lonely this christmas
Lonely and cold
It'll be cold so cold
Without you to hold
This christmas

You remember that last year, when you and I were together
We never thought there'd be an end
And I remember looking at you then
And I remember thinking that christmas must have been made
for us
Cause Son' this is the time that you really need love
When it means so very very much

It'll be lonely this christmas
Without you to hold
It'll be lonely this christmas
Lonely and cold
It'll be cold so cold
Without you to hold
This christmas

Merry christmas darlin', wherever you are
Have a Happy Christmas Son, reunited with your little boy,
love you, miss you,
Bless you XX..

It will soon be Christmas dad
The streets are gleaming bright.
The tinsel and the mistletoe
Bring yuletide into sight.

I'm shopping now for presents dad
For loved ones dear to me,
But there will be one gift missing
From beneath the Christmas tree.

It seems that only yesterday
I held your soft warm hand,
And prayed with you a little prayer,
And tried to understand....

Why God would want to take you dad
Away from those you love.
Your children were your very life.
You treasured them with love....

All the very little things
This world could give to you.
Dear dad, how am I to fare
Without you to see me through?

It will be a lonely Christmas
Without you daddy dear.
The first one out of many
That you shared with us while here.

I'm thinking, since I cannot buy
A gift for you from me....
I'll spread a little extra love
Around the Christmas tree.

And when you gaze upon us dad
From Heavens Holy Place...
I think you'll like your present
And a smile will light your face.

To my lovely stepdad "Merry Christmas"

It's Christmas and I'll miss you
You'll never know how much
The greatest thing I could get
Would be just to feel your touch.

I know you're safe in God's arms
And you're as happy as can be
And I know that I'm being selfish
To want you here with me.

Have a lovely Christmas
I'll get by, you'll see
Just Promise me on Christmas day
That you will think of me

Time has taken me from you,
Although not very far.
I'll be watching through the sunshine
And through the brightest star.

I'll be watching all of you,
From the heavens up above.
So take good care of each other
And carry all my love.

If you're ever wondering
If I'm there, here's where you can start.
Take a look inside yourself
Deep within your heart.

I'll always be your baby,
Your child, your best friend.
So anytime you need me,
Close your eyes I'm back again.

For all who have loved and lost......bless you XXXXXX......
