How to Put on a Duvet Cover

by Sandi P, Nov 7, 2007

The Quick and Easy Way to Put on a Duvet Cover: No Gaps, Bumps or Lumps.

Place Duvet Cover on the bed, top of Cover at the pillow end and bottom of Cover, towards the foot of the bed

Place Duvet at the foot of the bed, make sure it is the right way round

Stand at the foot of the bed, move to the left hand side and grab the top left corner of the Duvet Cover, with your left hand

Grab the left top corner of the Duvet with your right hand, push the Duvet up into the top left hand corner of the Duvet Cover, holding on to both the Duvet and the Cover with the left hand, pull the cover over the Duvet as far as it will go with one sweep of your right arm

Move back round the foot of the bed to the right hand side, and grab the right hand corner of the Duvet Cover with your right hand

Grab the right hand corner of the Duvet with your left hand, push the Duvet up in to the top right hand corner of the Duvet Cover, holding on to the Duvet and Cover with the right hand, pull the Cover over the Duvet as far as it will go again, with one sweep of your left arm

Next, pull the Duvet Cover all the way down to the bottom, pop in the right bottom corner of the Duvet

Go back round to the left side and repeat, pull down the left hand side of the Duvet Cover

Pop the left bottom corner of the Duvet into the Cover

Return to centre at the foot of the bed and fasten the poppers or buttons, give the Duvet a good shake, and position it perfectly on the bed, and then pop on your pillows
