Hi Hazel, Hi Taff,
the Majority do seem to be for Wales or the Celtic world. All those souls visiting must give it a mystical characyer, perhaps, perhaps.

When I was a kiddie we holidayed in the Lake District and found a beautiful place at Mungrizedale,
a clear rushing stream with deep springy grass growing along the banks..........I've been back as an adult and it seems to be heaven on Earth to me.
Maybe my spirit ( once released ) will head for that spot.

Hi everyone I'm new to this, my favourite place is Cumbria( North of the Lakes). My family all came from there and every time I cross the border from Lancashire I feel as if a security blanket wraps round me.

Hi Terry, hi everyone

Have just scrolled back, read your reply ... you have an artist's eye adding colour to poetry ... see ... you are an artist!

Your family live all over the world, mine nearly all the UK, well ... I am supposed to be part Irish so perhaps they are there too. :) xxx

Hi Terry & Taff
when my OH said about moving to wales
i just looked at him as though he'd gone barmy
and i said yea and pigs might fly .
but he talked me into having a holiday here
then we went back home and 8months later we were living here and never regreted it.

Hi Mary

Shimmer here hun ... lived in St Albans for years, have since relocated hun.

What part are you in, have family in Devon near Cornwall ... near Dartmoor, can walk to it, so beautiful and peaceful.

where I lived was beautiful ... on the edge of countryside, could feed squirrels yet was near the city too; London was accessible by train. xxx

Hi
think that property is expensive everywhere, often people buy that second house, and never use it durring the week or winter
Think we all see that contentment is something though inside us is place related
Glad Shimmer you think I'm an artist But the answers that have come in have jogged little memories, and 'm really glad other people also wonder where our soul hears home

Hello Shimmer ,
nice to see you back .xxxxxx

Hi Mary ,
i lived in Stevenage in 1961 when i first got married
until 1971 my children were born there .
then again only for a short time in 1987
before moving here to Wales .
When i go back to Stevenage now i can see the changes i think in places it has got a lot
rougher . but my son would'nt move
from there he loves it there .

Hi Mary Mary
but that's how life is when folk chatter we all do it and it's what makes these boards fun.
Think once one has started a thread it belongs to everyone
Hi Lady Shimmer
yes it does get one thinking
hI Amanda
know the feeling enjoy being in Poland have plenty of friends there, but I allways feel best when the horizons are not so broad and a few hills and mountains are part of the landscape.
