Oh poor you Deb, I guess the weight loss is good?
So sorry you are in such pain and having so many problems, but glad you can still keep a sense of humour.
Will the nerve damage heal itself at all so that you get some feeling and strength back, maybe from physio?

Hi Liz,
The nerve damage will heal itself over time.
If the leg (because of the herniation on the sciatic) doesn't heal in a few months, my GP wants me to see a specialist. The only problem is the herniation is lateral posterior, which I understand is difficult to operate on?
But, chin up and all that!

Yes Deb, onward and upward. Try and stay positive if you can, sounds as tho the doc is doing his/her best to help.

Off to bed now, it's almost my birthday.
Mum thought it was the fish and chips from the night before giving her indigestion, noooo, she was in labour with me lol I was born at 4.30 am.


Ooops, no I wasn't - I think it was 6.30am, it was my son who was 4.30am. He has rarely been up as early since lol

I'm trying hard not to let this problem incorporate my whole day, but 90% of the time it does.

We are off to Vegas on Monday for a couple of days, and I'm going to rent a mobitilty scooter to get me around!
See there is always a solution :))

Thank you all, I have so many lovely cards and gifts, and will say thank you properly later on, if I am sober lol
Off out in a bit to meet with my son, so the three of us can have a meal and do some elephant trailing or whatever I decide on

I had a lovely birthday and a nice evening out with o.h. and my son, had a little wander round the city and got some pics of me with some of the elephants, it rained a little, but soon stopped. Browsed a few shops that were open and my son bought me a slushy dvd film that I liked the look of and is paying for some shoes I liked, if the shop can find the second one lol - phoning me if they find it - then we decided on Bella Italia where we had a nice meal and a lovely bottle of wine and a laugh too, son and I shared a naughty choccy dessert.
Wandered back to the bus stop, and son went off to a party he had been invited to, while o.h. and I got the bus home. A novelty, we rarely go out on the bus but I used my pass and we didn't have to worry about parking or not drinking (alcohol).
Very tired now, so will say thanks to everyone over the weekend, I hope. I really appreciated all the lovely cards, gifts and special messages, so thank you all again.

Ann, I don't feel any older altho might do when it is time to crawl out of bed later today lol
Did a lot of walking which I will suffer for later.
