As others have said, she is being a normal teen. I do know how you feel, my stepson was always in my things. I used to have to take my handbag in the loo with me!!

I feel a bit ashamed to have a tantrum online, but was at my lowest for an hour or two, you all have made me feel very special by replying.

The update is...

I gave HIM two barrels and some... I'm not normally given to losing it, but felt justified. Told him I expected some support not indifference etc... If he wasn't such an **** (I think the term was Rear Orifice)
I would have felt sorry for him!

Anyway, I told her she would need me before I needed her and she had better think on.
It's her school prom tonight, so she must have thought about it after listening to what HE had to say to her on the subject... yes, he did the decent thing!

She came to me and apologised for using all my stuff and lying. This is actually a breakthrough, she normally would go to the grave holding on to that lie!

So, I dutifully took her to her school prom, all dressed in her finery..... like you do!

This child is the last of my 5, I have two other daughters and two son's. the other four put together are not anywhere near as high maitenance as she is!

So glad things calmed down Tina, and that you got back up and an apology. You concentrate on yourself now and make sure you spend some housekeeping on new makeup, buy cheaper food and they will have to like it or lump it lol

I've just read this through, Tina, and I was so sad until I read your latest reply. I'm glad that both your OH and your daughter did the right thing; I know teenagers do things like that but it's extremely inconsiderate of them to treat you so badly when you've been very ill.

I am so glad that your OH has got the gumption to stand up to his daughter and take your side.

Its not easy being a step mom - as I know from experience, if anything goes wrong its always the one stuck in the middle and get it from every side!

Still you need to take it easy. Cannot have a Tina poorly again. lol

hi all i have two daughters and 5 sons all but one all in there 19 to 30 age first two were not to bad in teens the next two had there up and downs but it past ,the next two tuck me to hell and back as soon as thay were 16 left home. and the last one well he is only seven and is my great nephew that we have had from 7 months old he is loving at times but can been a pain taking thing that are not his and saying he did not do it.we have tryed to give his every think we could but sometimes i think am to old for all this now god help me when he is 15 . but then i look at all my kids with there kids and i am so proud of them now so we have to take the good with the bad sometimes.and we always hurt the one we love at times that live as thay say now it so diffrent to when we were there age .good luck it dos get better.

sorry forgot to say now i can not get a min to myself as three still live at home and the rest live 5 mins away .thay always know were thay are safe even the two that left at 16 .
