Soz tina am shattered and concentration not good. No news sis will have to be induced on Sunday if the midwifery things done this morning dont work.

Did she have a sweep?

The one I had with youngest made me eyes water and it still didn't work lol xx

Yes she did Muffy they offered to do another on Friday if it didnt work but sis was admament once was enough!!

I don't blame her !!!!! lol xx

i had to have one with baby satan everyone said how awful it was gona be but i didnt think it was that bad had it on the tuesdy he came on the thursdy

My consultant gave me a *harsh* sweep on the friday and said if I DID go into labour I owed him a bottle of scotch BUT if I didn't go into labour by the monday he'd buy me a bottle of wine.....he said he always managed to bring on labour......he was WRONG ....AND I didn't get me vino .........after 9 months without I thought that was pretty tight of him lol xx

Well should be enought to ensure you and Mr Muffy are careful if you get any fancy notions on his few days off! lol

I dare not ask what a sweep is - I have visions of a nurse/doctor with a broom going in and sweeping! My tummy is hurting at the thought ouch ooh ouch!

My sis did explain it to me in graphic detail!! I had only just woken from a deep sleep so hope brain was playing tricks on me. Id rather not be the one to explain - I had been reading a Stephen King at some point before I fell asleep and hope my brain has merged Horror with what happened and its not true! lol

well i must be large lol coz i thought it was alright not nice but didnt hurt lol

OMG - my nether regions have now gone all peculiar! LOL

Avin a baby is not all easy going is it! Sometimes I am relieved we could not have any of the little darlings. lol

You must have had a kind midwife or consultant Stray........i had a sweep with eldest and it was fine......still didn't work but it was ok.

The second one was indescribably painful. I went to work after and they made me sit for the whole afternoon as I was pale and looked like I was going to pass out. lol x

Well they do say we are all different !!!

It reminds me of the last smear I had - the nurse was having problems inserting her instrument of torture - in the end she said I think I will use a smaller one - yea gods! what size was she trying to insert and how big did she think I was! Now I may be a size 24 dress size but does not mean me nether regions are the same! PMSL

You were working while overdue Muffy? Gosh my sis cant shes sooo tired cant sleep cant get comfy etc ...

Maddie is quite certain Mr Muffy wont be getting any now one his four days off! Soz Muffy, ok hes cooking get some candles - get a baby sitter for a night. Have a nice hot bath and enjoy your time together.

Dont go thinking about sweeps it will ruin your few days off!

One of my most embarassing moments happened whilst having a smear. lolololol.......

I have had numerous miscarriages and was warned after second baby it was unwise to have anymore as my cervix was *b**gered*

Anyhow..............went for my smear 3 years ago and the nurse said...........*my my this HAS had some use hasn't it?*

I said *I BEG YOUR PARDON???*

and she blushed and said *oooo terribly sorry I meant your cervix*

No i wasn't properly working.......just helping my dad that particular afternoon in his shop.......jeeze....... I had a 3 yr old at the time.........would never have managed even part time lol

I won't let the thought a sweep put me off..........*winks*lol xx

So we are not to call out a search party if your not about in the evenings this week (GRIN).
