i cant understand why people feel the need to post nasty/unpleasant messages on threads for people they dont like.

surely thats bullying, and as adults we should be above all that.

i dont want to get into a who is at fault arguement, its just a general query from someone who is trying to work through the boards and cant anderstand why things cant be nicer, we cant all like each other but what happened to respect for fellow human beings?

Please, be nice

Hi Cinders. I have often wondered and have given up trying to understand. It's like all the horrid things people in the world do to each other. There are some sick people around.

Ahh Cinders
Im afraid thats the nature of these boards
A whole lot of people who throw stones when they live in glass houses,
dont try and work it out because its impossible, just carry on as you are and ignore it as much as you can
Regards Tania

I can only presume they get some sort of pleasure. I find it easier to agree to disagree.
Well done you for posting this.

Hello again, Cinders.

It is something that is beyond my comprehension. I have read time and time again that it is far better to say nothing than to say something that is not nice.

Same ol , same ol,
Cinders....
.someone puts up a thread thats like a red rag to a bull and ... along with the "negative" replies..... other people innocently join in without a clue of whats going on...
Daft or what ?

Kim you have summed it up beautifully, it's not advisable to post without knowing the history.

Someone said once when I just joined this website that no matter how much people try to hide them, their true colours would always be revealed on these boards given time,
Never a truer word was said

I always think it's people who perhaps wouldn't do it if they didn't have a computer to hide behind.

Sorry Yorkie Grannie, I should of perhaps said unadvisable to post on contentious threads without knowing the history behind the reasons they are contentious.. oh dear,

I have been on this site for nearly 4 years and this is only the second time I have commented. I should have learn't my lesson from the first time round.

Night everyone :o))

i agree yorkie grannie, it is hard to know the undercurrents, and talking ot the wrong person/thread seems to mark you out

as i said at the beginning, i wasnt trying to decide who was at fault with this thread, or why, just asking why this goes on so much, its such a shame

TaniaNZ Report 29 Feb 2008 22:48

Yes Grannie, ignoring is the best thing.
Helen you are so right, there is a fair few on here that are full of the bravado of being anonymous.
