This year has been good so far, things are looking up for my eldest and her partner, my son is doing well in school and with his rugby, my youngest is finally getting the special needs help she needs. We may have a slight work hiccup in a few weeks as my OH may be laid off but he has a few jobs lined up incase, but as long as we have enough money to live on and a few luxuries we will be fine,

What else can I do David?
She is 20 now (missed her birthday)...I just have to go around her schedule now.

My niece is a brilliant rugby player, Jax and I might go and watch her play today. Glad things are good - hope the work thing sorts itself out quickly.

You have to get used to the adjustment I suppose, Deb

Brilliant....I kinda really love everything these days, as life is what you make it and although I work hard to get what I want I also appreciate what I have (if that makes sense).

Don't waste time being miserable, life is far too short for that, especially once you are past 45 lol!

Enjoy your day David, make the most of it....

Hiya Sal:)) You've made me feel all smiley lol. I'm not sure life is what you make it cos fate can be a bit relentless to some people but I do think it's how you deal with things. No good moaning is it:))

David, when your only daughter is thousands of miles away for a year..you adjust :))

She is having a wonderful time - but I still miss her.

Sal in Sydney Report 24 Feb 2008 08:16

Absolutely, I agree....

We all have crap times but it is how you go about it that makes the difference....

We are all so blessed and lucky really, we kinda forget that and can fall in with all the whinging....

If you don't remember how lucky you are, you waste so much of life...

Simple things are the best, just get back to basics and peeps are happy....not hard really.

Hiya David x

2008 looks great!

Swapping our car for a micro-motorhome on Tuesday, been buying camping stuff for it. :-)))

Although I know where Deb's coming from as 2 out of 3 boys are on year-long trips (currently in Borneo and Oz) so OH is missing them dreadfully.

Thanks Linda - someone who understands!
She is having a ball.
Next week she is off to Melbourne, Tazmania and Sydney.
She is doing the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb at dawn. I just wish I could do it with her :))
