I agree Kay - and I wouldn't really describe myself as a royalist either. And I think - if it's true that he's saying he dropped in a few red herrings and held back on some evidence - that Paul Burrell should be tried for perjury. Now there's a trial I would be happy to have my taxes spent on...

Roxanne Report 18 Feb 2008 18:16

Im not a royalist either,I just dont like to see unfair behaviour.

Isnt Prince Philip Greek? I know he has German blood, but I remember something about him being born In Corfu,he is part of the Greek Royal family, that was.
Also his mother or grandmother,I cant remember which, became a nun:-)

I feel very sad and sorry for anyone losing a child, like Mohammed al Fayed, but unfortunately it is clouding his judgement and common sense.

The only person wearing a seatbelt in that car was the only one to survive, and I don't suppose for one minute that there was a conspiracy to get Diana not to wear her seatbelt!

Mohammed al Fayed should certainly be paying for all this himself.

Joy Report 18 Feb 2008 18:49

It is sad that Mr Fayed's grief is still manifesting itself in such anger. It is my opinion that he owes an apology to several people, one of whom being Prince Philip who was born on the island of Corfu, is a descendant of Queen Victoria and definitely never was a Nazi. Mr Fayed should check his facts before he utters libel / slander.

Just seen him on the news swearing at a reporter,,
What a sad old git he is,, It seems like he's become obsessed by it all.
He even said that those who said Diana wasnt pregnant were lying,,,
So,,,not only a sad git but blessed with the gift of clairvoyence as well....

I knew I was Right,Concerning his Mother,Just found this.

LEAD: The dying wish of Queen Elizabeth's mother-in-law was fulfilled today when her body, protected by armed Israeli border police, was laid to rest here 19 years after her death.

The dying wish of Queen Elizabeth's mother-in-law was fulfilled today when her body, protected by armed Israeli border police, was laid to rest here 19 years after her death.

The remains of Princess Andrew of Greece - Prince Philip's mother and a nun the last 20 years of her life - had awaited transfer to Jerusalem from Windsor Castle in England since her death in 1969 at the age of 84.

A dispute arose because of the religious problems of burying the Greek Orthodox Princess Andrew with her aunt, the Grand Duchess Elizabeth, in a Russian Orthodox church.

A compromise was struck, and before dawn Princess George of Hanover, who is 73 years old and Prince Philip's eldest sister, flew in with the coffin at the head of a royal delegation.

The other royal visitors were the Queen's domestic chaplain, the Dean of Windsor, and his wife, and the royal funeral director, Christopher Kenyon.

After a commemoration service on the Mount of Olives led by the Greek Orthodox patriarch of Jerusalem, the remains were taken to their final resting place at the nearby onion-domed Russian Orthodox church, St. Mary Magdalene in Gethsemane.

Whether he is right or wrong Dermot....much of his words have been slanderous toward people who were not there and it wouldn't help his 'cause' to continue his obnoxious behaviour to all those he dislikes and is 'suspicious' of.

Yes I agree that he is a grieving Father.....and wouldn't wish that on any-one.....

The Royal Family, whatever any-one thinks of them, don't answer back to any of the criticisms about them....so every-one including Mr. Al Fyad seem to think they are fair game for slanderous/libellous accusations. He would be respected more, in my book, if he stuck to wondering why and how his own son died rather than give us all these conspiracy theories about the Royals etc......what if the outcome this time is the same.....that it was a tragic accident.....what will be dragged up next to continue the fight to prove different...more slander/libel by all and sundry? In fact, where is the proof?

You're welcome, Roxanne. I remember, when on holiday some years ago in Corfu, seeing the villa where he was born.

I have always found it fascinating, reading about the descendants of Queen Victoria, where they fit into the jigsaw of the spread-out family across Europe. His father was Prince Andrew of Greece and his mother, Princess Alice, a great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria, gave shelter to Jewish refugees in Greece in WW2.
