I use Nivea Soft in a tube, as you dont get dirty fingers in the pot. Not that I dont wash them.

I am allergic to Lanolin, and have had the most horrendous rash on my body, due to warm weather.I used E45 on my body, but think it may have lanolin in it, as they were getting no better. Now use acqueous cream, also switched from baby soap for my body to the good old fashion Wrights Coal Tar Soap, which my cousin's wife recommended. Spots all going now.

Thank goodness, as I looked like a bear scratching my back against chairs.

I use anything and everything, never have had the money to go mad but am lucky that my genes give me reasonable skin. Superdrug do a good vitamin e cream which I have used in the past and it works well.

At 73, and with a skin most people say is excellent. Have always used any cheap moisturiser, more often than not it is sensative baby lotion. I am trying Simple rich moisturiser at moment, but I think a gentle soap helps, not too much face washing either. It doesnt need scrubbing. Suffer from skin allergies everywhere except face! Bought a longhandled applicator from Kleenezee to cream my back and find it effective. Jean

I never wash my face. I use baby wipes instead. They work fine.

Absolutely agree, Margaret, my mother had fairly good skin, wasn't too wrinkly even at 79 when she died, and I am lucky enough to take after her.

I call them "ugly creams"

Roxanne Report 13 Feb 2008 18:40

There all the same, its just the way its advertised.
I was told by a dermatologist that drinking water is the best beauty treatment.
You can use all the face creams in the world but it wont help unless your diet is good and you hydrate your body from the inside.

Anne Report 13 Feb 2008 18:25

Dee, why aren't you suppose to use Nivea soap on your face, or do you just mean soap in general?
