Mary Ann Martin{my G,G, Grandmother} first appears on 1841 census with sons john 17years old,{born blind} and Alfred 12years,living Paradise Row Christ church southwark.{no mention of husband John Martin} now alfred's middle name was Bender!!and going on this I did find a Mary Ann Bender born 1797 but cant find a marriage for her and John Martin.1851 Mary ann is a widow with Just son John unmarried he's 28yrs old at 8 Brunswick Street Surrey christ church.1859 Mary ann died at 13 Isabella Street chr/church.1861 john still at same address aged 38yrs.i apologise for putting this on again {i tried a year ago with no results and am still trying to find her {marriage to John Martin with out any luck} was they married or did the boys just have his name?on young john's marriage cert in 1863 her claimes his father John Martin was a forman to the city gasworks. thank you for reading this but I need to put it to rest now!!
