Ok, I'm trying to find a number of the Bailey family who were born in the late 1800s in Limehouse area. They are related to my mothers side of the famiy. My great nan's nan was widowed at 25 and seems to have remarried someone called Bailey. In the 1901 census William, Tom, Henry and George Bailey are all living with my great nan's mum (why i don't know) and I can't seem to find them earlier on. I can only presume my great nan's grandmother remarried rather than taking on someone elses children. Her name was Jane Steptoe and was born in 1846. She already had 3 children, Emily, Jane and John. |
