Mark on 1881 census is Max on 1901 my could they not keep to one name at least

Name is probably Mark, but as he spoke with an accent, the census taker may have got it wrong.

If you get Mark and Emily's marriage certificate, it will probably give you Mark's father's name and occupation.

I'm not any good with Russian research, but someone else on here might be able to help you
