Marcelle! they did have kids of their own - you can buy the cert of the kiddie to get mums previous name and maiden name.

On the 1861 census, they've 2 kids with them, Harriet aged 8 and Elizabeth aged 3. Both recorded as their daughters. Oh, but they arent leaping out as registered as Strong :( Anyone see them?

Oh dear, this all seems a bit weird doesnt it.

Marcelle

Marcelle Report 17 Sep 2007 11:41

Yes I think they had Elizabeth abt 1858

Well, FTF have come up with all the same variations as us plus Flinstone (which crossed my mind actually - LOL) but no sign. Take it she had no kids with John?

Marcelle Report 17 Sep 2007 09:50

Thanks everyone. Its given me something to look into. I did a search on George (Elizabeths son) and for some reason in 1851 census there are 2 enteries exactly the same.
Once again thanks for your help
