Find Ancestors

Heather, thankyou for suggesting that I join Ancestry, I am seriously thinking about it, but I cannot spend too much time on this just a bit here and there. I must say it is becoming a very nice habit though.

Thanks Val, these were my uncle Fred who lived very close to me and i saw him very often he lived until he was about 94, I do not remember my aunt Jess, she died when I was very young, they had 3 children, Doris Eric and Robert (Bob).

PS Great uncle and aunt!! He was my Grandad's older brother

you are right Linda, there are some lovely people here, I have been on holiday so have been out of circulation, but i am back now and can't thank you all enough, my thanks to all of you out there.

George and Elizabeth were my Great grandparents, I would like to find out when they died, I believe George lived to quite an old age my mum remembered him as a very old man. Elizabeth I think died quite a time before him. She is buried in the churchyard extension to our Parish Church in the centre of Kingston

Suzy you are a treasure, Chesham is the "family seat" I am certain of that now, many many thanks. Grandada had an unusual middle name which was Bevis, I am trying to find out if he was named after someone with that for a surname

The people on here have done a great job for you Pat, but for future ref, you need to work backwards using certificates, marriage, births etc. to ensure you are following the right lines. If you intend to do more research on this and other lines of your family you may think about getting a sub to ancestry (which is where all this info came from).
