I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what all the fuss is about - what else can you get for 10p which is useful? I live over 10 miles from the nearest Records office, so would have to factor in the cost of getting there and back, plus being obliged to go when the office is open.........paying 10p per unit to sit in my own home and access the info at a time which is convenient to me seems like a pretty good deal. I have observed Ben's Threads on many occasions, and everybody to him is ripping you off, he feels all things to do with Family Research should be free and that no company has a right to charge for viewing the records, even though they have payed thousands for the right to make them available amd thousands on servers to access them, Ben has an unrealistic out look on these things and for easy access you have to pay the costs to view, this is a very expensive hobby to do right, i have a few lines now that at a huge cost have downloaded for a name, every B.M.D. from 1837. 1984, but it is the only way to get all the info, and i have just sent off today for £210.00 worth of certs, but i feel it is all worth the cost, but Ben questions every penny, i would say get another hobby if you cant afford this one. or go down your lbrary for hours on end and get it for free
