Hi Claire You 'nudge' a thread by simply clicking on reply and then type in NUDGE, this will then send the thread back to the top of the board. Nudge is usually used to catch the attention of others especially if the thread is informative or further details have been added to original thread/quiery! In a nut shell 'nudge': to keep the thread at the top of the board to gain more attention/response! Lib

I post almost daily to the various boards but am still thrown by the instructions at the top of the Records Board: If you are going to a Records Office and will do look-ups for other people etc, - Click Here. If you are requesting a look-up from someone on this Board - Click Here. Erm, scuse me, I'm thick - but what is the difference, actually,whichever button you click on? Your message appears in the same format as far as I can see - or is there some subtle difference that has escaped me? Olde Crone
