Paul Can I ask how you know of Thomas? If you don't have Charles' birth cert, but got Thomas' name off Charles' marriage cert it is possible that Charles was illegitimate and Thomas was 'invented' for respectability. nell

Paul The census you have should give details of each person's relationship to the head of the household. What exactly does your reference say? Do you have his son's marriage cert - and what his Thomas' occupation on that? nell
