I should have said the marriages came from the Lincs FHS transcriptions available here http://s10.freefronthost.*com/mi/index.html

Blimey Geoff, Thought i was confused before..........are you trying to have me removed by the 'persons in white coats'.......lol I need time to digest this little lot, ive got Holland's coming out of my ears... Thanks for info, much appreciated! Lib:)) So it may be that Elizabeth c1842 is a Holland and she married a William Holland...........' I THINK'?????

Is this any use? Anthony GREETHAM (son of Robert) married Elizabeth HOLLAND wid (dau of Richard ASTINGTON) at Sutterton 13 July 1843. I'm sure William HOLLAND 1841 became William H(olland) GREETHAM - 'son in law' usually means stepson. Another marriage to set the pulses racing ... William HOLLAND (son of Peter) married Caroline ASTINGTON (dau of Richard) at Swineshead 24 May 1842. Interestingly, the IGI has Caroline born in Ireland ... to the same parents as Elizabeth (who was bap in Brighton). The IGI also has a marriage for Elizabeth ASTINGTON to John HOLLAND (Brighton 1840 - guesswork?) ... John HOLLAND buried at Swineshead 7 June 1842 (26). I guess the exact date of birth of Elizabeth (1842) is crucial in knowing what name she may have been using at any time.

Thanks so much guys i was begining to pull my hair out! Ive just found this marriage ref for a Anthony Greetham in 1842. It's certainly looking like Elizabeth c1842 and William c1841 are (Holland) from a first marriage of Elizabeth c1812 or they are her Illegitimate children??? Marriages Sep 1843 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >>>GREETHAM Anthony Boston 14 321 HARGRAVE John Boston 14 321 >>>HOLLAND Elizabeth Boston 14 321 MASON John Boston 14 321 PULLS Rebecka Boston 14 321 SMITH Jane Boston 14 321 Lib:))

Working on Ozibird's deduction, how about this for 1861 Elizabeth Holland abt 1840 Servant, Lincolnshire, England Servant Boston Lincolnshire (image really does show her place of birth to be 'servant') (Elizabeth is unmarried, according to image, but married servants unusual, unless cooks I think.) Charlotte Page abt 1833 Midville, Lincolnshire, England Wife (image says companion!) Anne Simpson abt 1785 Fulletby, Lincolnshire, England Head Just a thought - could William Holland (1861 census) be step-son to Anthony Greetham? Do you have his marriage cert. to Elizabeth to confirm her maiden name? (signing off - time to get up!)

Hi Geoff Sorry ive only just got back to you, let's just say ive just finished a 3 hour telephone conversation........... The Elizabeth you have found in 1851 is a little to old to be the Elizabeth im after, mine would only be about 9/10yrs in 1851, she was born c1842... Thanks for taking time to look though! Lib:))
