Just had a bit of a possible brainwave: Have an old family bible - no dates mind you, but one of the entries says: Mary Gregory Rooke Bildings no3 Booth Street Pendleton Near Manchester, Could this be where she was born? Is it possible to do an address search on the 1851 census? |

Have you tried searching page by page for the family in the district your expecting them to be in? I ask as I have just been searching for another member here for a family of Cox in Publow Somerset.......... no amount of variants and ways of sourcing them brought forth much .......... so I searched page by page of the parish......... they were recorded under a family calle Hathway....... and although they were recorded as Cox on the original document ......... Ancestry has mistranscribed them and renamed them as part of the Hathway family............. Twits !! Thus no one would have ever found them unless looking at the pages of the original documents :(( |

No Web, just confusing myself even more - they SHOULD be in Lancashire- so probably in the bit that's missing. Is it just missing from ancestry or all together? Anyone know where the missing bit is? |

well - nobody knows, none of them could write so on her marriage she is Atelbury, on her sons birth cert it is Attelbury, on her other son's birth cert it is Attelborough, but the name is used as middle names for children later on and it is spelt Atelbury. |
