keiley the elizabeth smithson (granddaughter) in 1861 is the daughter of Margaret. glitter baby found that out for me the other day Robert Smithson (grandson is the part of my tree, cant seem to find any traces of his mother (could it be Dorothy)??? ordered his birth cert but theres some probs

Glitter i know you researched a lot of info for me, but im looking for the family in 1851 and its all a muddle

it looks like they are!! ive wrote it all down and try to get my head round it in the first census you give me there was 'Dorothy' - there is no mention of her again? do you think she could have died by 1861? she was born about 1843 so she wont be on the 1841 census ????????? kelly

There is a Margaret Smithson on the 1851 census with dob 1832 in barton lancs, working as a servant. I know its a few years younger but its not unusual.

This is the one i have but it doesnt fit in with the rest of the censuses i have.??? I think they could have two daughters, Margaret (1834c) and Mary (1835c)
