Thanks Maureen, Gawd! Isn't it amazing how little distance the family moved in nigh-on 100 years ... my mother grew up near Bull Hill. I reckon 'Billey Street' is actually Pilley Street ... will check. Did you give up on the NUTBEAMs in 1861/71 - after Jim's discovery of NATBEAM, I had my hopes up!? Regs Annie |

Annie, Sorry had no luck with earlier census. Thought I had found him in 1881 as Mintrum b. 1856 Fawley, Hampshire but living in Solihull but no way could I get it too read Nutbeam plus the fact that the man was married and with a family. Perhaps the later shift will have some luck. Maureen |

Maureen, Many thanks for your help - it's given me a massive leap ahead. As you suggest, I'll await the beady eyes of the late shift to resolve 1861/1871 - unless, of course, the family was abducted (temporarily) by aliens. Kind regards Annie |
