I have to thank you all for the help. I am now suspecting Victor stowed away on a ship or killed his first wife - not sure what is harder to trace. |

I am waiting to find out the name of his ship. Unfortunately, all the immediate family in New Zealand are dead - my only possible chance is my Uncle Tim who is a Godfrey on paper, but not really a Godfrey. My Grandmother was married before she married Victor, and had two daughters. |

This 1911 census has Victor missing from the household, and only has Ben and Bessie's last three daughters on it. |
