Would anyone be able to look up a marriage for me on Scotlands People-I am interested in finding the marriage of William Lancaster to Marie Whitfield between 1945 and 1975 with thanks

Have you tried looking yourself?

SP isn't a subscription site.

That's quite a time-span..........

On a free search 1945-1975 there are 3 results. Whittle it down until you identify the years, then see if Marie was married in the same year.

You may have to send away for the certificate.

Using both names I only got one result for 1951 on the free search- did you do something different DetEcTive

Edit- sorry, just seen link. By searching under marriages and using both names there is only one match in 1951.

Putting in both names and then whittling down the years brings one result, in 1951 but, as DetEctive says, you will need to order the cert to see anymore details.

Thanks for your interest -you do need credits to see full details that is why I asked if anyone had access to look for me .

Yes - you have to purchase credits to see the reference details to enable you to order a copy at an additional cost.

That's why we aren't able to give those to you.

It is NOT a subscription site - we'd have to use our own purchased credits on your behalf ;-)
There might be someone who has a couple spare who might be willing to use them up for you - you'll have to wait to see if they spot your thread

As its recent, I think you have to send for the cert.

Andy's right:

http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/content/help/index.aspx?r=551&396

"Why are some images not available on line?
Birth records less than 100 years old, marriage records less than 75 years old and death records less than 50 years old are deemed to be modern day records and for these records it is necessary to order an extract."

"Now available to view are images for Scottish statutory births in 1914, marriages in 1939 and deaths in 1964. These digital images of the official records are released under the legislation that allows the publication of birth, marriage and death (BMD) records that were registered in Scotland more than 100, 75 and 50 years ago."
