Depending on your interest, someone with Ancestry membership would be happy to send a message to the tree owner - Farr24 'Hill Family Tree' - who is a regular user of the site.

They may have been relying on hear-say rather then documentation.

No - the tree is a bit scant on details and I'm wondering how much is correct

So if they were married, she'd have been only 16/17 when he died.

Australian BMD are notoriously difficult to access because of their closure laws.
As any marriage, if it took place in NSW would have been over 40 years ago, it is possible to search on

However, there are zero results

In addition, the tree cites a 1954 Australian ER in her maiden name. It is always possible that Jean reverted to it. She married Raymond George Sanders under the surname of Farr not Brewer (if she ever was married)

Interestingly, the tree shows that there was a Brewer/Farr daughter - details hidden.

Does it say were they were married Please

Margee - might that have been in Scotland which is why its not on free bmd?

A tree on Ancestry says he was married to Jean Isabella Farr who was born in Austarlia.

Now there's a thought! :-D

Not seeing anything on the Probate Calendar. You could apply for search directly to the Probate office, if you think its worth a try? Costs £10

Doesn't seem to be any marriage for him on FreeBMD.

Wonder if he left a Will???

Would anyone please help me find a marriage for John Richard Goodwin Brewer b. 1909 believed born Fylde Blackpool but was on trawlers in Hull and was killed on H.M.T. Fifeshire Feb 1940. I've read he was married but No children No name for wife
