You can check yourself Florence on Scotlands People , afraid it's not a subs site

You need units to view any records and for that time you would have to order any cert through them at £10

Scotland's People is a Pay to view site, but very reasonably priced. £7 buys 30 credits. One credit will get you each of the above records and in the case of the birth as it was over 100 years ago, you could look at the record on line and download it too. The death is less than 50 years ago so you can't do that (no image available) but the GROS data gives you the details required to order the certificate.
(Marriages have a 75 year closure). To look at/download a record will cost you 5 credits.

Greyghost, thankyou very much for the info, can you just explain what Wallace m 81 Eastwood and Mearns means? Is this the district he died in?

Sorry to sound a bit daft, just used to genes and free bmd!
Thanks

Eastwood and Mearns is the registration district where his death was registered.
M means Male
81 is his age at death.
Wallace is in the column headed "Other surnames" - so another surname by which he had been known.

Either the birth cert or the death cert, if you order them from SP, might give you a clue as to the reason for the name Wallace.

Or, more cheaply, buy credits and view the birth cert online. You can save and print it, too. The death cert isn't available online - too recent. (As Greyghost said.)

He was the illegitimate son of Isabella Norrie, therefore Norrie at birth. His mother married later, hence the name Wallace, by which he would also have been known.

His mother's marriage:
1910 WALLACE JAMES NORRIE ISABELLA FOVERAN /ABERDEEN 195/00 0003

Foveran/Aberdeen is the reg district.

His marriage, which I expect you already have:

1934 NORRIE ROBERT BONNER
MACMILLAN CHRISTINA CATHCART (GLASGOW) GLASGOW CITY/LANARK 644/24 0106

Cathcart is the reg district, part of Glasgow.
