Hi Anne, that is the correct George from uncles and aunts names. The 1881 census for Thomas Young typed "cotton merchant" is actually written Rattan merchant (for cane chairs etc) which is still the family business. I would be interested to see if Thomas or George travelled to Far East in those days.
