The 1881 census for Thomas Young typed "cotton merchant" is actually written Rattan merchant (for cane chairs etc) which is still the family business. I would be interested to see if Thomas or George travelled to Far East in those days.

	This all seems a bit vague. Unless you have the correct birth cert I don't know how you can be sure you are following the correct George. There are 3 possibles 1875 -77
