Albert and Amy Constance are at 18 Mulready Buildings, Millbank in 1920.

Thanks Janice!

Are they in any way accessible online? I had a feeling they were on ancestry but I want to confirm that they are, and if so, what kind of information they contain before I end up wasting my money.

Thanks for your input

The 1868-1930 registers for St pancras workhouse are at the London metropolitan Archives.

My grandfather and his brother were admitted to the workhouse (I believe in St Pancras) during the early 1920s whilst their mother was working as a domestic servant, and their father had been admitted to an asylum. I have been trying to locate admission registers but I am not sure if they are online. I have had someone check the lunatic registers for the area but there is no sign of their father Albert on them.

My grandfather's name is Leslie Goodge (born 1918) and his brother was Raymond Albert Goodge (born 1916). I am not sure where they were living in the 1920s but Leslie was born at 20 Berwick Street, Westminster and Raymond at the Milbank Estate, Westminster.

My grandfather also mentioned boarding out at a school somewhere in Hertfordshire whilst his mother was working. He said there were lots of orphan boys there so I imagine it was somehow connected with the workhouse.

Thanks for your help
