10. William PLAYFORD (James , Thomas ) was born on 28 Jun 1767 in Beckley, Sussex. He died on 25 Dec 1802.

William married Mary in 1787 .

14. Mary PLAYFORD (James , Thomas ) was born on 7 Jan 1776 in Beckley, Sussex. She died on 5 May 1853.

Mary married Sivier ROOTES son of Sivyer ROOTES and Ann AVERY on 25 Jan 1798 in Beckley. Sivier was born in 1772. He died on 12 Jan 1847 in Northiam Sussex.

Sivier and Mary had the following children:

22 F ii Ann ROOTES was born in 1800.
23 M iii John ROOTES was born in 1802 in England. He died on 9 Feb 1803. He was buried on 13 Feb 1803 in England.

26 F vi Louisa ROOTES was born in 1808.
27 M vii William ROOTES was born on 24 Nov 1810.
28 M viii Thomas ROOTES was born on 19 Jan 1813 in Northiam, Sussex. He died on 21 Jun 1843.
29 F ix Mary ROOTES was born on 1 Apr 1817.

19. Henry PLAYFORD (James , Thomas ) was born on 22 Mar 1790 in Sussex, England. He died on 20 Aug 1864 in St. Peters. He was buried on 22 Aug 1864 in Camperdown Cemetery. Henry was employed as Brickmaker.

Henry married Sarah Elizabeth GOODSELL daughter of William GOODSELL and Sarah (GOODSELL) on 18 Nov 1821 in Beckley Sussex, UK. Sarah was born in 1796 in Ewhurst Sussex UK. She died in her Newtown home at 4.30pm 28 Mar 1856. She was buried on 30 Mar 1856 in Camperdown Cemetery.

They had the following children:

Wow!

Thank you so much for the research.

You have confirmed some what I knew and given me heaps to digest.

I am doing some searching in census records in 1841 & 1851 and have found the reference to Stephen and Mary's son Henry born @ 1820 Kent and still living there. Taking all the information you provided and my research I have made an executive decision re parentage - Stephen & Mary.
