Thanks to all who replied Yes Brentford is in Middx. The C in Arthur's name could be Christopher. This is an old 'Shacklady' name. My Mother was a Shacklady and took the name Norton after HER mother married Arthur Senior. My mothers father is unknown! I will look on Ebay for the book and the website. Thanks again Sylvia |

Thank you everybody who got involved. Yes I do know Geoff and he has told me some of what is written here. BUT I am writing my family history and now I have information in 'black and white' I can just print it out and add to the file. Instead of writing it all out and, knowing me, getting the dates and stuff the wrong way round. thanks once again Sylvia |
