Thanks you guys for making me feel not alone on here now with getting totally p'd off with the attitudes of some - not all - but some of those we help.

You know I do tend to look at how many posts someone has. I don't have masses but I always respect those who have significant numbers. I do get annoyed looking at someone with so few coming back with such an attitude. And let's remember, this is the second time we have encountered this sort of attitude in the last week.

My Platinum runs out this month and I have removed the auto-renewal. I love this site even with all it's deficiencies because you guys make the difference but at this rate there will be no one left.J

MarieCeleste, This is just another case of a member asking for help and then as stated we were passing time whilst waiting for Peter to reply but as is the attitude of some members who give the impression that they think we the members helping are payed customer support workers for GR so obviously we should not indulge in banter

I am only here until my membership runes out i have let my subs to ancestry laps because i only kept it going to help on the boards as i had finished my own research in 2007 but with attitudes as they are now i am not prepared to continue to pay subs and Carrie on getting responses like this from other members who either cannot afford, know how to or cannot be bothered to pay subs or look for info them selves

Well, I was in the process of scouring the British Newspaper Archives for likely articles when I noticed Peter no longer requires our assistance, shame - there are a few Duroe mentions in the area, ah well .....

Peter, many of us indulge in a little banter whilst using OUR time, OUR resources and OUR subscriptions to various sites whilst helping out other members. I actually find your comments to the other helpers here rather childish and petty.

Peter, We where waiting for you to come back to the thread as you had said that you would in your last post,

the Birth in 1955 refers to a birth in 1955 for a child born in chesterfield with the mothers maiden name of Soar which is the same as the other two births

If you read the post's again you will see that the only dod found for a Kenneth Duroe was the one in 1950,

However I am not confused, I am just posting details based on factual information that can be found about a Kenneth Duroe born and died in the registration district of Chesterfield for the time in history's that is relevant

If you have proof that he died in 1955 then buy that death certificate for further information
alternatively you can buy the one in 1950 posted above

I cannot find any other birth or death for that name in the chesterfield area other than the ones posted above

their is a marriage for him in 1931 to a lady called Miriam Soar i think they had two children a boy and a girl in 1940 and 41 although their looks to be a child born in 1955 with mmn Soar

The later Kenneth is not showing in a birth search . but may have been mis transcribed.

Sorry, my wife has spoken to her sister and apparently the one suggested is a definate relative, but I misheard and the Kenneth I am trying to find out about died in 1955 and was born c1923 and also he was born around Park Street Boythorpe, Chesterfield.
