	Would sks look for James Day born 1849 age 12 living at Wedmore Somerset. Reg.Dis Axbridge please. Grateful for info of household, hopefully with parents.

	Oh dear, This family seems to have a few James born same year.According to Family Search his Father is George and Mother Alice. He has named two of his children George and Alice. 1851 Census I believe he was a visitor with Phoebe Council - unmarried Washer Woman. no more info on this. When he married he was living at Heathhouse, Wedmore according to 1881 Census. I wonder if he was left an orphan. The Day family seems to have named all their children with same names which makes things complicated. Thanks for looking.

	Researching: Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.

	Thanks Jonesey, At a loss here. Could well be son of John and Sarah but so many same names for children in this family. I wonder what happened to George and Alice. Will have to dig deeper. Thanks again.

	Have you got his marriage cert? This should give you his father's name and occupation.

Member Since: November 2014 Posts: 7 Send Message	I believe he might very well be the son of John Day and Sarah Slocombe, as Sarah had an aunt that was named Hannah slocombe that marred a Couzzen and emigrated to New York State. Sarah was a sister to my 3 great grandfather John Slocombe who married Mary Davis.
