Hello Micheline - how did you come across him, how is he connected in your family? Just so we know what direction to work in.

(Would you mind taking your "Caps Lock" off? It's harder to read) :-)

Also, what was the birthplace of Mary Elizabeth Lewis? Might narrow it down a bit.

EDIT: See from the 1891 that she was born Bristol but her birth year is shown as 1862.

i AM BATTLING TO FIND INFORMATION ON ALFRED LEWIS BORN ABOUT 1836 I WOULD IMAGINE HE WOULD HAVE BEEN BORN IN THE BRISTOL AREA AS MOST OF MY FAMILY APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN FROM THE WEST COUNTRY. IHAVE SEARCHED CENSUS BUT WITH NO LUCK. I DO NOT KNOW WHO HE MARRIED. ALL I HAVE DISCOVERED IS THAT HIS DAUGHTER WAS MARY ELIZABETH LEWIS BORN ABOUT 1854 AND SHE MARRIED JOHN QUANT IN 1885 IN BRISTOL ANDTHEY HAD THREE CHILDRE, BASIL, JOHN AND DORIS.

I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP PLEASE!
