Have also found a birth for a Alfred William Lewis in 1835, baptised 8 Mar 1835, Father William, mother Mary, St. James', Bristol, Gloucester, there is a death 1859, Bristol.

there is a marriage for an Elizabeth Godfrey Lewis in 1863 to a John Hope SOUTHEY

Hi MarieCeleste! Many thanks for the speedy reply. The connection with my family is the Quants married into the Collins family which was my father's side of the family Irene Quant , John Quant's daughter married my grandfather Reginald. The Collins family came from Weston-Super-Mare.

There is a tree on ancestry has him born 1835 in Glos as Alfred William Lewis. Married Elizabeth Godfrey ... in 1856, and died 1859.

They have Mary Elizabeth born 1860 and Alfred's parents as W Bowen Lewis and Mary Patrick.
