hi all i am looking for any information on the fewkes family. my grandad was norman fewkes and was married to a joyce olive jeffrey in 1953 in dartford kent. i dont have an awful lot to go on other than he left when my dad was around the age of 2. an information would be helpful. thankyou for reading this

Do you have the marriage cert from 1953 to give his age at marriage and the name of his father ?

What does the middle initial of E stand for ?

Hi sorry i havent replied. he was born around 1929/1930. i dont have the marriage certificate but the year of marriage was 1953, quarter of marriage was jan-feb-march, district- dartford, county, kent, spouses surname- jeffrey, volume number- 5B, volume page 821. i think the first death certificate may be the right one. his middle name was eugene. thankyou very much

Right, Ancestry wont let me send a message but I have tracked him down on Facebook and hope it will get through.

It would be nice to know if this is the right man and why he changed his name. so here goes fingers crossed, will get back to you if i hear anything.

There is a bar across which includes

Click on Search Trees - All

Enter surname of Machaeson and you will get only 16 results

There are two possible entries by Steve or Steven and you can then try and contact him

There is also an entry which has the surname of Machaeson (was Stock) which is interesting given the possible marriage in 1976 of Norman to a Stock
