Many thanks for your input Shirley. Yes, I had also wondered about that death registration - quite likely I think. I had seen quite a lot of the info about this family on the net, but I hadn't seen the London Gazette article.
Margaret Legh is the sister of my husband's great-grandmother x3, so I was really keen to track her down - so thank you for helping me to do so :-)
