Hi. In the hope there is an expert on London railway companies out there i want to pose this question. My ancestor John Dyer was a platelayer in Bethnal Green in 1885 ( written on his marriage certificate) and then in 1888 he is a railway platelayer and living at 7 Grove Terrace, Elm Road, Leytonstone ( his job as stated on his daughters birth certificate). As he does not appear on any census before 1891 i thought i could trace him through his job. Does anyone know what railway company he would be working for or are there any suggestions you can make? |
