Have you got the death records for her parents to know e.g. if the whole family emigrated?
(You could have picked a better surname)

Are you assuming she must have married in Clacton?
There are lots of possibles in Essex and further afield.

I know this is a remote possibility but has anyone come across a Brenda Smith?
She was born in Clacton, Essex in 1935, daughter of Walter John Smith and Gladys Hilda Hawkins.
I've searched marriage and death records over and over but can't find any trace of her, so I'd be overjoyed if anyone knows anything about her.
