Member Since: October 2011 Posts: 8 Send Message	Looking for information for Albert Edward Babb born 1901 - known family Father Samuel born 1863 Mother Annie born 1865 Winifred sister born 1893 Mabel sister born 1895 Percy brother born 1904 lived at 7 Adelaide cottages east storehouse Plymouth Devon Albert departed London 19th July 1924 arrived Melbourne Australia 19th August 1924 He married in 1933 Mary Edith Williams (nee Mogford) by 1941 he was knows as Albert John Deacon-Daly and married Lilian Winifred Taylor Welch in 1942 anyone knowing any information on any of these people would be greatly appreciated.

	Look in search trees for possible links on GR As for finding info about Albert's siblings.......your first stop should be freebmd, to look for marriages etc (IF they remained in England/Wales, of course) . http://www.freebmd.org.uk/

Member Since: October 2011 Posts: 8 Send Message	I've managed to work out where the deacon name came from - being his mother's maiden name What i'm yet to discover is where the "John and the "Daly" fits into the picture somewhere between 1933 and 1941 he changed his name from Albert Edward Babb to Albert John Deacon-Daly why I have no idea my nan - not alive anymore had no idea of any of this. He always claimed his parents were Samuel and Annie Daly. Records in Australia don't seem to be accessible - I just figured he made it up from nowhere. The search continues

	Jen It might be in your best interest to edit your title to read "Australia Info For Babb".........so that members can see that you are looking for further information regarding...Albert Edward Babb in Australia. Let us know if you need help going back further with Samuel and Annie. :-)

	Found this on the Ryerson Index :- Lillian Winifred Taylor (Winnie) Deacon-Daly, death 2/1/2008, published in Adelaide Advertiser on 5/1/2008.
