Kim I am not querying the legitimacy of the place Levisham, only that the ennumerator misunderstood! Ginny has nicely proved my interpretation - I am well pleased with the results. I can now get on and find George in 1881 etc
The connection is son Thomas who later has a marriage

The E H stands for Edward Hampton but how he becomes a Davies I have not yet fathomed........ Maybe there is a secong marriage after Georges death. Ah another line of enquiry
