I DID find a Mrs Mabel M Coan b 1882 on the 1910 US census. Unfortunately, that lady was married to a John J and had been born in New York.

Just thought I'd put Mabel with her family in 1901 on here as a reference. I see her family had a US connection with her younger sister.

we celebrated our Golden Wedding 16th September
but had a family party 17th September
+ celebration with friends 15th September
and out to lunch on our own yesterday.
Back to normal today.
