I know there were 100's of Rowetts in the 1800's Cornwall, but please does anyone know when John Rowett was born and who he married? He is given as the father of Philippa Rowett at her marriage to Thomas Toms on 27 February 1840 in Lansallos Cornwall. Thanks |

Thanks Ozibird, this John could well be Philippa's brother, and the second message looks very promissing. |

I was getting hopeful there for a minute Lynski, but my Philippa was married and living in Hull in the 1861 census. Its a great shame because the dates and places seem a good match. thanks for your help |

Many thanks Ozibird and Lynski, but I was looking for this Philippa's mother and father. She got married in 1840 so her father John should be still alive in 1841 census but I haven't found him yet. unless it was the one Roy found. But he shouldn't be in St Austell (John not Roy!!) |
