Hello All,
Trying to trace my Grand Father Harold Bowler, and Grand Mother Sara Dunwell who were possibly married in Keighley area, and lived in Fairburn near Ferrybridge at a bungalow called Woodside not far from Lumby Lane before and during WW2
Thanks .

On the 1911 census for Alfred and Sarah............it states 3 children born and living. So the Grandchildren with Frederick and Emma must belong to them.

Wow! That certainly looks like they are in there. Sarah was in Service and Harold was a Collier to start with but he got 'the Dust' and then became a gardener and handyman I think.
There were at least three Dunwell brothers Charles Thomas and Frederick.
Harold and Sarah's children were Nellie, Nancy Florence, Maude Iris, Editn Mary, Barbara and Rose, sadli I cannot remember the names of the boys but I think that there were only 2.
Thankyou for all your contributions I will spend the weekend going through itall!
I have also been researching Ashmores ('cos I am one) and memebrs of the site have been both generous and helpful!
Thanks again .
Jill :-D
