In 1851, aged about 45, he was a Clerk at War Concessioning Factory in Brixton, Surrey. He was recorded in the census in 1851, aged about 45, in Brixton, Surrey. In 1861, aged about 55, John Chase was an Oil Merchant. He was recorded in the census in 1861, aged about 55, in Camberwell, Surrey. In 1881, aged about 75, he was a Wax Chandler in Camberwell, Surrey. John Chase was recorded in the census in 1881, aged about 75, in Camberwell, Surrey. Many thanks for your help and apologies for the delay in replying. Basically I need research on all Henry Craddock's born within the London area in the 1829-1836 time period. The one I'm interested in is the one that was lodging with Rhoda Lawrence (not married) and her (their?) daughters and was a merchant (birth certs of daughters list father as a practical engineer). I have three Henry's so far that fit this time/location but all three appear to be merchants and you have supplied some useful information above on them. I have a 1911 census on one of these but unsure which one as an inmate at Morden College, Blackheath.

I will sift through the information above and thank you again.

Following on ... please may I ask for any details on a Henry Jesse Craddock christened in Lambeth in 1832 - he died in 1919 Richmond London. Worked at some stage in Manchester and Liverpool - was married and worked as an agent and broker and as a Merchant. I know that he also had a t least one sister. 1841 census through to 1901 if possible please - I know where he was in 1911 (Woolich).
