Find Ancestors

I have descendents born and are put down in the cencus as Kettering Northamptonshire. They cannot be found. Is the registration district a different one. Also Banbury born, Northants on a marriage cert. Cannot find a birth for Banbury

It is very confusing. I have been on this for some time.

I have catherine tucker, always known as Kate,. born 1886 banbury

violet tucker born 1888. kettering

clara tucker born 1881 kettering

These are listed on the 1901 cencus.( William, Russell, Frank, Arthur and Bert.. are other children) and parents are William Tucker and Maggie. maiden name Neal)

In 1907 William and Maggie took William, Russell, Fred (who we think is listed as Frank) Kate, Russell and Violet to America. (I have the sailing)

I believe Hilda followed in 1910. As on the usa cencus in 1910 she is listed as being in the states for 3 months.

Violet, did not stay as my 2nd cousin in America says this. But no trace of her returning on a passenfger list.

The problem is, Kate, Clara and Violet were, we believe, born to William Tucker (wife not known) Note their ages.

Because William and Maggie were married in 1892, both widow and widower.

Bert, was known in the states but his name was Bertram Joseph Neal. Maggies son and maiden name.

( 1901 cencus states 77, fuller street, northants.)( Marriage cert of William and Maggie (both residing there . states 77, Fuller Street,) and Fredericks birth that I did find states Fuller Street. On that birth it says mother Margaret, known as Ferry, maiden name Neal. I hcannot find a marriage of Margaret Neal to a Ferry.

So you can see I have done a lot of work.

What is also confusing is that margaret gives her father as Joseph Neal on marriage. But, on her death cert. in USA, it states Jacob Henry. Mother Margaret (maiden name Neil) note neal is spelt differently.

I really do not expect an answer on this. I have been working on it and turned every-thing over. too many twists. Thanks for replying.

Violet's name being recorded after that of younger children suggests that she was not a Tucker by birth............as is the case with Bert

Spent a lot of time on this one .
Nothing for the whole family in 1891,I wonder where they were then .
Also cannot find William Joseph in his first marriage in Census.

Carol Do you know if Clara was Williams Josephs first child.

I some how think he could have married before 1879 to another person as he would have been 33yrs old in that marriage I posted for 1879.
